Here's some moments of darlin' Meagan in East Village. This day unexpectedly inspired me. It was so refreshing to just wander around, chat and laugh without a timeline or shot list. (Don't get me wrong, I love weddings and I am thankful for timelines, and I love being on my toes acting in spontaneity.) But there is something rich in not being in a rush. I really believe that people are our greatest investment, and our time is the greatest gift we can give. Photography allows me to not only give my time in being present, but to also take that time and preserve it for forever.(in a picture, I mean.) Moments. Our memories are made up of them. Our future, made up of the ones we choose to create, and the ones we're forced to experience. Captured, or kept sacred, they impact some part of our being. Some of my favorite moments of life are remember through my naked eyes and not my lens.
Mostly my favorite thing about photography is the friends that it brings me. It takes time to get to know people, and photography delivers me this. Frames of time and the freedom to document what I choose.
I am excited to blog more this year and tell more stories and be extra purposeful in my approach to present the things I see and how I see them. I did not expect to write this much, but this much came to mind. If you made it this far, thanks for reading.
